CHRIS PEARSON
Bass Guitar / Double Bass
Chris Pearson is a London-based professional bass player who has performed in over twenty countries across the world, including the UK, Europe, the USA, Japan, and his homeland of Australia.
After studying at the Queensland Conservatorium of Music, graduating with a Bachelor of Music (Jazz Performance), Chris has delivered masterclasses at Middlesex University in the UK, and Monash University and Griffith University in Australia.
He has worked with a diverse range of artists including:
ARIA award-winning singer/songwriter Megan Washington, Australian music legend Jimmy Barnes, Resin Dogs, Reggie Watts, The Ten Tenors, Diesel, Peter Coombe, Russell Morris, Lachy Doley Group, Paul Gilbert, UK X-factor finalist Jennifer Phillips, UK singer-songwriter Elio Pace.
Chris has performed at The Royal Albert Hall, The Isle of Wight Festival 2016 (UK), The Sydney Opera House, Pentages Theatre (Los Angeles), The Warfield (San Fransisco), Irving Plaza (New York), and Ronnie Scotts Jazz Club (London). Chris also featured as bassist on the “Ten Tenors, Here's to the Heroes” DVD recorded in the world-renowned Deutsches Schauspielhaus in Hamburg, Germany.
In 2016 the song ‘Champagne’, co-written by Chris Pearson and Dave Orr, was released in Australia. This song has received radio play and reached Number One on the Australian Independent Radio Charts.
Chris is a member of Tango Hustler, a three-piece instrumental hip hop collective. Most recently the EP features a collaboration with critically-acclaimed rapper and MC "Gift of Gab" from the hip-hop group Blackalicious.
